What is The Second Breath?

I’m so happy you asked.

In life, we have defining moments. They fill the spectrum from love and new life to disappointment and loss. These life experiences are often termed with taking your breath away. The moments where you are so happy you can hardly stand it, or so shocked that your heart skips a beat, or so debilitating that it feels like your world has paused. We all experience these events in various ways during our lifetime.

It is during these times that the first breath you take after the initial blow is an involuntary reaction. It’s as if it is uncontrollable, your body’s natural response to the news or event. However, after that first breath, that comes as quickly as it leaves, comes your second breath.

It is in that second breath that you decide how you will willfully respond. It is at that moment, with the breath you take, that you decide the direction you will go in.

Looking back on my life thus far, there are so many times that my second breath was taken with doubt, disappointment, defeat and most of all fear. That’s what I chose. Until now.

In your second breath, you have the power to choose a different path, one filled with hope, positivity and love. Your perspective can change your reality and with that comes an inner- source of freedom and happiness that cannot be swayed by anything other than you.

The Second Breath is about taking control of who you are, what you want and how you want to live. It is willfully showing up to every moment with your best self and radiating that out into the universe.

The Second Breath is your reminder that you don’t have to be on the path you are on. With every breath comes the opportunity to change course.
